Breathing from both sides
Today I learnt to breathe from my left side for freestyle swimming.
I had been breathing from my right side all along, and was getting the hang of the breathing technique taught by Bee the last time.
I was now able to breathe in a controlled manner, and to relax or hasten my swim as desired.
So Lee thought I should try the other side.
It felt awkward at first because I was so used to turning my body to the right. But after a while, it felt ok.
I was then able to alternate my breathing: right, left, right and so on.
Lee said swimmers in long distance competition breathe from both sides of their body. If they just use one side, they're bound to hurt their neck.
